Winbond W25Q16DVSNIG is an old version which was EOL, now the new version is W25Q16JVSNIQ.


W25Q16JV (16M bit) serial flash memory provides a storage solution, pin and power supply for space-limited systems. The 25Q series offers flexibility and performance beyond ordinary serial flash devices. They are ideal for mapping code to RAM, executing code directly from Dual/Quad SPI (XIP) and storing code voice, text, and data. The device is powered by A single 2.7V to 3.6V power supply, and the current consumption is as low as 1 μA.


The W25Q16JV array is divided into 8192 programmable pages of 256 bytes each. More than 256 bytes can be programmed at once. You can erase as 16 groups (4KB sector erase), 128 groups (32KB) of page blocks erase), 256 groups (64KB block erase), or the entire chip (chip erase). The W25Q16JV has 512 erasable sectors and 32 erasable blocks. The smaller 4KB sector provides greater flexibility for applications that require data and parameter storage.


The W25Q16JV supports standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and high performance dual/four-channel output as well as dual/four-channel I/O SPI: serial clock, chip selection, serial data I/O0 (DI), I/O1 (DO), I/O2 and I/O3. Supports SPI clock frequencies up to 133MHz, allowing equivalent clock rates of 266MHz when using fast read dual/quad channels, double I/O is (133MHz x 2), Four-channel I/O for 532MHz (133MHz x 4) I/O instructions These transfer rates can exceed standard asynchronous 8-bit and 16-bit parallel flash memory recall.


In addition, the device also supports JEDEC standard manufacturer, device ID and SFDP register 64-bit serial number and three 256-byte security registers.
